Terms & Conditions


  • You guys should know what you are doing by now so please wear the ‘right’ riding gear - leather and/or textile jackets and trousers, approved lids and of course boots and gloves. Jeans are a no no.
  • You are all big boys (and girls) so you will be responsible for all road traffic violations whilst out on test. And if you get your picture taken we will know who is out on what and when so will have to turn you in.
  • It is not a race or stunt show so no overtaking the lead rider and no wheelies, stoppies burnouts or general larking about ….please. You can still have fun. Of course.
  • A maximum of three test rides are offered per customer per day and no more than one on each bike – lets not be greedy eh!
  • Don’t forget to bring a print out of your booking confirmation. No form – no ride sorry.
  • If you are really really bad Aprilia reserves the right to cancel your test ride and no amount of begging will change our mind.
  • Follow the route. Seems obvious but if you get into trouble and we don’t know where you are you could be late home for tea (or worse). Failure to follow the route will mean we take our toys back and you don’t get to play anymore.
  • A £500 excess is applied to all test rides and by signing the test ride form you agree to stump up should the worst happen.

Now the serious bits

  • You must be over 25 and have held a full licence for at least one year to take part in a test ride.
  • You must have no more than 6 points on your licence and have not made more than one claim on your own insurance in the past year.
  • Riders with any of the following convictions are excluded; AC, BA, CD, DD, DR, UT, TT, XX, SECT 19 or SECT 35.
  • You must not have been convicted of any other criminal offence.
  • You must present your full driving licence and one other form of ID, passport, credit card to be able to take part and have your photo taken for identification purposes.
  • The following occupations are unacceptable;

    • Entertainment and related industries including fairground employees
    • Professional sports persons
    • Professional models
    • Publicans or people working in the Licenced Trade
    • Scrap metal merchants and dealers
    • Offshore oil/gas rig workers
    • Actors/actresses
    • Reporters/journalists
  • You are offered a Knox back protector to use whilst on test and security in the form of a credit card will be required when you take one.
  • You must leave your own bike/car keys as security during each ride.
